Fantasia Nordestina, written a few years ago, was shelved, awaiting a premiere. The surprise came when the suggestion for its debut in Rome, at Piazza di San Paolo, on September 17, 2022, came from the Brazilian organist Fernando Gabriel, who resides in Hamburg, Germany.
The piece was commissioned by another Brazilian organist but remained without a scheduled premiere, providing the opportunity for this international debut.
