The composition 'Voices of the Amazon' was selected as the winner of the Gramado in Concert Composition Contest in January 2024.
The judging panel, led by the contest coordinator, included renowned conductors and composers: Anderson Alves (RJ), Cláudio Cruz (SP), Fernando Deddos (PR), and Liduíno Pitombeira (CE).
Written for a large orchestra, 'Voices of the Amazon' serves as a portrayal of the Amazon biome, exploring the sounds present in this region, such as birds, rivers, and indigenous chants.
The premiere is scheduled for February 3, 2024, performed by the orchestra of the Gramado in Concert Festival under the baton of conductor Cláudio Cruz.
